Consider the whole.
A piece should work with the room around it. We consider scale, circulation, and everyday use alongside the object itself.
Our studio
Design in mind.
Craft at heart.
A conversation between
design and making.
PIELA is a custom cabinetry and furniture design studio serving the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Sacramento. We bring creative design and hands-on craftsmanship together to make pieces that feel at home in their surroundings.
We start by listening. How does your space work today? What would make it better? Those questions guide the layout, materials, and details that follow.
What matters to us
Let materials speak.
Grain, texture, and finish bring their own character. We choose them with care and make room for that character in the design.
Resolve the details.
Edges, alignments, hardware, and the way a door opens all matter. Drawings and fabrication belong to the same design process.
Your space. Your next chapter.
Letโs make somethingyouโll live with.
A room to rethink.
A piece you canโt find.
Tell us what you have in mind.
